The importance of properly fitting shoes is often underestimated and even overlooked, yet it is a problem for everyone, especially for diabetics with neuropathy or diabetic foot syndrome. Ill-fitting shoes can cause blisters, injuries, and various other foot problems. For diabetics, who are prone to various foot issues, it is even more crucial to wear appropriate footwear.
Diabetic footwear may be prescribed on a voucher to a diabetic with neuropathy or special medical footwear requirements. The diabetic is entitled to a contribution from the health insurance company.
